Sold with a receipt from Sanderson & Taylor Ltd., Edinburgh, dated 31st August 1979, and a letter from the maker, dated 1st November 1979, explaining that the bow originally had a plain frog and was sent back to him in 1976 with a request to insert the thistle design.

The stick of this bow is made of pernambuco and requires a UK re-export CITES permit - this will be applied for after the auction and a charge of £75 will be added to the invoice if you are registered outside the UK
