A gold & tortoiseshell-mounted ‘exhibition’ violin bow by Eugène Sartory

Paris, 1935

From around 1930 Sartory’s bows become bolder and more powerful, as can be seen in this fine violin bow, mounted in gold and tortoiseshell and made for the Exposition of 1935. This bow is in a very fine state of preservation yet its playability will satisfy the technical wishes of any violinist.
