the postcard and handwritten score are from Edward Joseph Dent, musicologist at the University of Cambridge from 1926 to 1941. Dent writes "The little piece of music is the first few bars of the Ode on St. Cecilia's day (anon) at the Fitzwilliam, about which you asked me some time ago. I am afraid it is a dull piece of music."
