A violin by Giuseppe Pedrazzini

Milan, 1928

Considered to be one of the most important representatives of the modern Milanese School, Giuseppe Pedrazzini set up his business in Milan, after teaching mainly himself the craft of making violins. With some guidance from Romeo Antoniazzi he perfected his style and later went on to teach some of the outstanding makers of the next generation. The clear lines and careful workmanship of this instrument, based on a personal model, are typical of Pedrazzini’s work.

This violin has a clear and open sound with a range of bright overtones and fast response.
