After working with Riccardo Antoniazzi and Leandro Bisiach in Milan, Gaetano Sgarabotto settled in Parma where this cello was made. As is typical for his antiqued copies, the instrument’s varnish is thick and rich in texture. The cello has a full and warm sound with a singing A string and an open bass register.
