Cremona, circa 1680
Bussetto’s work is extremely rare but between circa 1670 and 1680 he was active in Cremona. The distinctive outline of his instruments, with their unique and recognisable f-hole design, distinguishes them from instruments by his contemporaries. This instrument is highly representative of Cremona’s best output from this period. It has particularly fine varnish and a luscious sound that is both colourful and focused with a warm timbre.
