Emidio Celani

Born in Ascoli Piceno in 1866, Emidio was the brother of Constantino, whom he taught. Known as ‘the Turk’, Celani was a prolific maker of plucked instruments, and his violins are comparatively rare. He died in 1898, and his brother continued the business until his own death in 1953.
