Born in Mirecourt in 1821, Darche worked for N.F. Vuillaume in Brussels, establishing his own shop in the city in 1845. A copyist of classical Cremonese work, Darche exhibited a quartet in Munich in 1854, and was also known for his work as a restorer. He died in Brussels in 1874.
