Born in 1891 in Dulcigno, Monetegro in 1891, Dobretsovich studied with Pollastri in Bologna before moving to Alexandria and later Cairo in Egypt. Work of high quality generally with an orange varnish, he submitted a quartet to King Farouk on the occasion of his marriage in 1938. He emigrated to Brazil in 1957 and died in about 1960.
