Celestino Farotto

The son of the violin maker Salvatore Farotti, Celestino was born in Mian in 1905 and died there in 1988. He trained with his uncle Celeste, and was joined in that shop by Alfred Lanini. Highly prolific, his preferred models were Rocca and Pressenda, although he made other instruments to personal designs or based on other classical Cremonese makers.
