Giuseppe Lucci was born in Bagnacavallo, Ravenna in 1910. He trained with Pietro Borghi in Modena and Leandro Bisiach in Milan, for whom Borghi also worked. In 1953 he established himself independently in Rome, where he died in 1991. He used predominantly Stradivari models, but also produced instruments influenced by Guarneri and Guadagnini. His work is of very high quality, with precise workmanship, and golden orange and red varnish.
