Émile François Ouchard

Émile François Ouchard was born in Mirecourt in 1872. He worked for Cuniot-Hury from 1886 until 1922, and set up his own business in 1923. By 1936 he had 15 employees, including his son Emile Auguste, but the younger Ouchard quarreled with his father and left for Paris. Émile François remained in Mirecourt until his death in 1951, where he trained a number of bow makers including François Lotte and André Richaume.
