Notable Sales: Charles Peccatte
Charles was born in 1850 in Mirecourt. The son of bowmaker Françoise Peccatte, he appears to have been apprenticed to Auguste Lenoble, following his father’s death in 1851. He worked for J.B. Vuillaume with Françoise Nicolas Voirin from 1865 until 1870, and returned to Lenoble in Mirecourt before establishing his own business in 1908 in the rue de Valois. He gained medals at competitions in Antwerp and Paris in 1885. After 1900 he began to take on assistants, including Eugène Sartory, and died in 1918.
