Giuseppe Tarasconi

Tarasconi was born in Saronno in 1851, and was a double-bass player and amateur violin maker. From about 1888 he received training from Gaetano Rossi in Milan, and he established his own business there, concentrating on dealing and repair work until his death in 1920. His own instruments are a little unrefined, with long corners and soundholes, and varnish of poor and inconsistent quality.
