A professional violinist, Vettori learned violin making with Primo Contavalli in Imola. Born in Firenzuola in 1903, his work after 1950 is also influenced by Giuseppe Ornati. Assisted in later years by his sons Carlo and Paolo, he won many awards at exhibitions and competitions throughout Italy before his death in 1973.
