Notable Sales: Auguste Barbé
A member of the Mirecourt Barbé family of bowmakers, and presumed to be the son of Télesphore Amable, Auguste Barbé he was born in 1853, and is thought to have worked with C.N. Bazin before joining Gand Frères, subsequently Gand & Bernardel, in Paris from 1886. He later returned to Mirecourt, establishing his own business working in the style of François Nicolas Voirin, who was also associated with the Gand company. He died in Mirecourt in 1902.
