Born in Legnano in 1922, the elder brother of Enzo (b.1935), he worked in Mantua from 1947, and was joined there in 1974 by Enzo. He was a pupil of Antonio Zatta in Mantua, who was himself trained by Giuseppe Ornati. He was awarded a gold medal at the Cremona biennale in 1971, and other prizes in Cremona in 1967 and Bagnocavallo also in 1971. A prolific maker, working mostly on the models of his Mantuan antecedents Stefano Scarampella and Tomasso Balestrieri, he died in 1989.
