François Xavier Bazin

One of the founders of the Bazin dynasty of bow makers in Mirecourt, François Xavier is thought to have trained with Dominique Peccatte before establishing his own shop in Mirecourt around 1845. He died there in 1865. His style is noted for the narrow heads, and after being joined by his son Charles Nicolas Bazin (II) after 1860, an influence of Voirin also appears in their work.
