George Adolph Chanot

Eldest son of Georges (II) Chanot, Georges Adolf was born in London in 1855. He established his own business in Manchester in 1879, with help from his cousin Joseph Chardon. He continued to work in Manchester until his death in 1923, making finely crafted copies of classical instruments, assisted by his pupil Thomas Earle Hesketh and others, attaining awards at exhibitions in Manchester, London and Liverpool.
