Rodolfo Fredi

The son of Count Fabio Fredi, who was an amateur maker, Rodolfo was born in Todi in 1859, and studied at the Rome Conservatoire from 1889. He later established a shop there at 24 Via Vicenza. A prolific maker, he trained Vittorio Bellarosa and was made president of the Rome Association of Violin Makers in 1927. Awards won in Turin and Rome, and he participated in the Bicentennial exhibition in Cremona in 1937. He died in Rome in 1950.
