Born in Alassio in Liguria in 1876, Gaibisso worked there initially with Pasquale Baraldi, until Baraldi’s death in 1896. After travelling to South America and then to Nice, where he worked with Francois Bovis (1864-1914), he returned to Alassio in 1925, and after a very productive working period there, he died in 1962. He gathered medals at competitions in Turin, Rome and Padua, and is known for very well made classical models with clear golden-orange varnish.
