Luigi Galimberti

Born in 1888 in Seveso, Luigi Galimberti learned his trade with Innocente Rottola and the Antoniazzi brothers in Milan. From 1928-30 we was employed by Monzino & Co., but subsequently established his own business at 7 Piazza Borromeo and then at 17 via Dolomiti in Milan. He was a particularly prolific maker of double basses, and his violins are very much in the style of Antoniazzi, frequently branded LG on the upper back.
