Riccardo Genovese

Born in 1883 in Montiglio, Asti, Genovese was originally a musician, but took up violin making under the guidance of Annibale Fagnola in around 1922. He worked in Lecco from 1927, but returned to Montiglio in 1935 and died in the same year. His favoured model was based on that of Giovanni Francesco Pressenda and his work is of a good order, generally with thin, but strongly coloured, red varnish.
