Evasio Emilio Guerra

A violinist and self-taught maker, Evasio Guerra was born in Turin in 1875, and with advice and assistance from Carlo Oddone, Romano Marengo Rinaldi and Annibale Fagnola established himself in Turin as an independent maker, after working briefly in England and France. He continued to supply instruments to Fagnola, and produced his own labelled instruments on various classical patterns with rich red and orange varnishes, as well as close copies of Guadagnini and Rocca, until his death in 1956.
