Notable Sales: Michael Kloz
A member of the extensive Kloz family of Mittenwald, Michael was the son of Johann Karl, and was born in 1749 and died in 1814. His work is not commonly identified, and some are thought to be labelled as Joseph Kloz. Some known instruments have ebony and ivory decoration around the edges and scroll, but are generally on a typical Mittenwald Stainer-based model, with thinly applied varnish of light golden to darker brown shades.
