Born in Rome in 1903, Leonori was an active professional cellist and luthier who exhibited a quartet at Cremona in 1949. He won awards there that year and also in 1967, 69 and 71, as well as others in Florence, Rome, Liège, Ascoli Piceno and Pegli. He worked to a personal model with golden-brown varnish, and produced a wide variety of stringed instruments.
