Notable Sales: Plinio Michetti
Born in Calizzano, Savona, in 1891, Michetti went to nearby Genoa to study with Euro Peluzzi, and worked for an instrument dealer named Morutto in Turin around 1920. His own shop was established in the Corso Lecce in that city, where he won awards in 1928, and again in Cremona in 1949. Michetti was a prolific maker, strongly influenced by other Turin makers, particularly Carlo Giuseppe Oddone and Annibale Fagnola, as well as the classical models of Cremona.
