Gio Batta Morassi

Born near Udine in 1934, Morassi studied at the Cremona School of Violin Making from 1951 and returned there to teach after his military service. He remained as one of the most highly regarded makers at the school until his retirement in 1983. He gathered a great number of awards at international competitions and continued to teach and judge in other competitions until his death in 2018.
