The son of Eugenio and younger brother of Ferdinando Politi, Eugenio was a pupil of Enrico Ceruti. He was born in Rome in 1885, where he worked for his father until his death in 1909. He worked briefly with his brother in Rome, but moved to Turin in about 1913. He was a prolific and highly-regarded maker, using a classically-proportioned personal model, and a fine clear orange-red varnish.
