Joseph Voirin

The younger brother of François Nicolas, Joseph was born in Mirecourt in 1837 and probably trained with Jean Simon. In 1855 he was established independently in Paris, but joined P.L. Gautrot in 1867 to direct bow making there. During that time he was assisted by Alfred Lamy. He died in about 1895. His bows are sometimes branded ‘JH VOIRIN A PARIS’.
