Considered to be one of the eminent violin makers of his generation, Leandro Bisiach continued the violin making tradition of Riccardo Antoniazzi and his father Gaetano. The clear lines and careful workmanship of this instrument, based on a Stradivari model, are typical of Bisiach’s early work, and show the influence of the Antoniazzis. This cello has an open sound with a range of colourful overtones and a distinctive timbre.
