Thomas Kennedy is considered one of the most distinguished English cello makers of the 19th century. Following in the footsteps of his father, John Kennedy, he established himself around 1804 and developed a distinctive Amatese cello model which is highly sought after amongst musicians.

This cello is representative of his best work, with a transparent oil varnish and beautiful attention to detail in the f-holes and edgework. It has an elegant and vibrant sound with a colourful range of overtones.
